The Story Behind the Shop
Jukebox Rescue grew out of a lifelong fascination with the inner workings of vintage machines. It started in high school, bringing a broken 16mm film projector back to life — and from there, it was stereos, record players, and tape decks, always for the satisfaction of figuring out what went wrong and making it work again.
That hands-on drive led to a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota, building a deep technical foundation for tackling complex electronic and electromechanical systems. But the real turning point came with the purchase of a completely non-working 1960s jukebox that everyone else had written off.
After countless evenings and weekends of careful teardown, diagnosis, and restoration, the machine played its first record — and the obsession was official. What followed were more restorations, each one more ambitious than the last, and a growing reputation for bringing machines back that others couldn’t.
Today, Jukebox Rescue brings that same combination of technical expertise and genuine love for these machines to every project. Whether it’s a quick repair or a long-term restoration, each jukebox gets the same attention to detail.
